Osternig / Oisternig is 2052 meter high peak with a registration box located in the Carnic Alps mountain range. The peak is located on the border between the country of Italy and the country of Austria. The nearest mountain hut is Wirtshaus Starhand, located 1.5km west-southwest. A little further is Almgasthof Poludnig Alm. The peak is located severowest above the mountain pasture Feistritzer Alm. The peak is located north of the valley Valle Filza and severowest above the mountain pasture Feistritzer Alm, but a marked trail leads to the summit.
