Monte Forno is 1911 meter high peak and is part of the Vicentine Alps. The peak is located 3 km south of peak Monte Ortigara and jugo-jugoeast above the mountain pasture Malga Pozze. The nearest mountain hut is Rifugio Cecchin, located 2km northeast. A little further is bivouac Baita del Cuvolin. The peak is located south of the valley Val Coalba.
