Maroispitze is 2548 meter high peak and is part of the Verwall Alps. The peak is located 4 km south from the center of Stuben and 4 km south-southwest from the center of Alpe Rauz. The nearest mountain hut is Kaltenberghütte, located 1.5km northwest. A little further is Kaltenbergalm. North-northwest of the summit is the valley Klostertal.
