Kuntar is 937 meter high peak located in the Julian Alps mountain range. The peak is located 1.5 km northeast of peak Mrzli vrh. The nearest mountain hut is Koča na planini Kuhinja, located 4km west-northwest. Closer is hunting cottage Lovska koča pod Osojnico, which is located 3km to the north-northeast. North-northwest of the summit is the valley Dolina Lepene.
