Kreuzmauer is 2091 meter high peak and is part of the Ennstal Alps. The peak is located 6 km north from the center of Hall and 8 km southeast from the center of Rosenau am Hengstpaß. The nearest mountain hut is Admonter Haus, located 4km southeast. A little further is bivouac Hall Stellerhöhe. East-northeast of the summit is the valley Frenzgraben.
