Hainbachberg is 981 meter high peak and is part of the Türnitz Alps. The peak is located 2 km northeast from the center of Schwarzenbach an der Pielach and 4 km south from the center of Loich. The nearest mountain hut is Julius-Seitner-Hütte, located 3km east. A little further is bivouac Jubiläumswarte. West-southwest of the summit is the valley Klausgraben.
