Dosso Alto is 978 meter high peak and is part of the mountain group Dolomiti di Fiemme. The peak is located 1.0 km west from the center of Montagnaga and 1.2 km southeast from the center of Nogaré. The nearest mountain hut is Rifugio Bindesi - Pino Prati, located 9km southwest. Closer is bivouac Baita Acquadiva, which is located 4km to the northwest. South of the summit is the valley Sugana Valley.
