The saddle is located 5 km east-southeast from the center of Brand and 6 km west from the center of Vandans. The nearest mountain hut is Heinrich-Hueter-Hütte, located 1.6km south-southwest. A little further is Gavalina Jagdhütte. The saddle is located above the valley Sarottlatal.
