The saddle is located 5 km south from the center of Schoppernau and 5 km west-northwest from the center of Schröcken. The nearest mountain hut is Biberacher Hütte, located 1.4km south. A little further is Haus Schalzbach. West-southwest of the saddle is the valley Great Walser Valley.
