The saddle is located 4 km southwest from the center of Vattaro and 4 km south-southwest from the center of Vigolo Vattaro. The nearest mountain hut is Rifugio Casarota, located 2km southeast. Closer is bivouac Bivacco Madonnina, which is located 0.5km to the east. 8 km northeast of the saddle there is lake Caldonazzo lake. The saddle is located above the valley Lavinella.
