The mountain hut is located 4 km north from the center of Vernagt - Vernago and 6 km north from the center of Unser Frau - Madonna and 1.8 km south-southeast of peak Hauslabkogel. The nearest peak is Kleiner Similaun - Piccolo Similaun, which is located 1.3km jugovzhodno. The monument Mountain monument "Steinnanner'l" is also located near the mountain hut. 1.4 km east-southeast from the mountain hut there is glacier Niederjochferner, 2 km northwest from the mountain hut there is also glacier Hochjochferner.
