Alpinist's accident in the gully between Travnik and Šite

Yesterday evening, two alpinists got lost while descending from the mountains above Vršič into the Trenta valley in the municipality of Bovec. Rescuers from GRS Bovec went to assist them, later joined by rescuers from GRS Rateče and GRS Kranjska Gora. During the descent, the climber had an accident, while the female climber was found near Rateče. Today at 03:00, one group from GRS Bovec returned to base, the other stayed overnight in a mountain hut.
The climber who slipped during the descent died at the scene due to severe injuries.
