Zabreznik (Sv. Miklavž)

Description of peak:
Zabreznik is a peak located northeast above Izlaki. At 625 m, it is the highest peak in the municipality and is named after the Zabreznik hamlet, which is located at its foot and below the hamlet of Ržiše. At the top, a meadow with a beautiful view of Čemšeniška mountain pasture, Čemšenik, Prhovec and Reber awaits us and is ideal for a picnic in nature. The Church of St. Nicholas, where masses are held from time to time, is also located right on the top of the hill. The summit is not much visited and is therefore ideal for a quiet walk. Near the summit is the historic monument of Gamberk Castle, which can be reached by an extended excursion.
