Description of mountain:
Veliko Kozje is a mountain that rises steeply above the left bank of the Savinja River, descending more gently towards the Sava River. The highest point of the mountain is at an elevation of 993 meters, where there is an information board for the Path of 100 Churches; however, all hiking signposts direct hikers to a slightly lower scenic promontory on the northwestern ridge of the mountain. The scenic promontory also features a small bench and a stamping box with a logbook and stamp.
From the viewpoint, a beautiful panorama opens up over the Posavje Hills, where Kum, the highest peak of the aforementioned hills, and the nearby Kopitnik are clearly visible. On days with good visibility, the view extends to the Julian Alps, Kamnik-Savinja Alps, Karawanks with Peca and Uršlja Gora, as well as Boč, Donačka Gora, and Pohorje.
