Veliki vrh (above Lom)

Description of mountain:
Veliki vrh is located on the northeastern part of the Banjška planota plateau, which rises above Čepovani dol, the Soča river valley, and the Idrijca river valley. At 1,071 m, it is the highest peak of this plateau together with Lašček. It borders Kanalski Lom on one side and Lokovec and Grudnica on the other. Access is possible from several directions; a highly scenic circular hiking trail "Lom je moj dom" passes by. From the summit, which features a miniature Aljaž Tower with a logbook and stamp, a fine view opens toward the Krn massif, the Bohinj-Tolmin mountains ridge, Cerkljansko hribovje, and Šentviška planota.
