Punta Fanes Sud is a 2980 metre high mountain in the Cresta di Fanes. The hard-to-reach summit offers a magnificent view of the highest peaks of the Dolomites. Among mountaineers, the mountain is known for one of the most beautiful and challenging climbing routes in the Dolomites.
The mountain is also important from a historical point of view because of the events that took place here during the First World War.
