Kraspesspitze

Description of mountain:
Kraspesspitze is a somewhat neglected 2,954 m high mountain rising above the reservoir lake and the Finsterstal saddle. Unlike the nearby Sulzkogel, it does not reach 3,000 m, so it is much less crowded and thus offers a quieter high-alpine alternative for ascending to the high mountains above Kühtai. Two routes lead to the summit, neither overly difficult.
Although the view northwest is limited by the massifs of Sulzkogel and Zwölferkogel, which dominate alongside Kraspesspitze, the peak offers a magnificent view toward the (south)west-lying main summits of the Ötztal Alps headed by Wildspitze, toward the Stubai Alps to the south, and toward the upper Sellrain Valley with Kühtai and Finstertal Lake below. The Inn Valley section and the Karwendel and Mieming ranges above it are also nicely visible.
