Forcella Marmarole

Description of pass:
Forcella Marmarole is a notch in the Marmarole group, southeast of the highest peak, Cimon del Froppa. Since the peaks in the Marmarole group are relatively hard to access with no marked paths leading to them, Forcella Marmarole is one of the more suitable destinations for non-climbing mountaineers. Access to the notch is not entirely straightforward either and is suitable only for experienced mountaineers. A new modern bivouac Fratelli Fanton is planned near the notch. The old dilapidated bivouac of the same name is currently located lower down.
