The lodge is situated below Visoka Vrbanova špica, above the Za Cmirom and Kot valleys. The lodge, which is open in the summer season, has a beautiful view towards Triglav, Rži, Rjavina, Vrbanovi špica and Begunjski vrh. Jalovec can also be seen behind. There is also a winter bivouac next to the house, which has 4 beds.
