Church of the Virgin Mary on Kamen

Description of peak:
Church of the Virgin Mary on Kamen is located on the right bank of the river Drava, more precisely on the road connecting Vuzenica with Vuhred.
Near the church there is also a chapel dedicated to Bl. Anton Martin Slomšek.
The legend of the church's origin:
According to legend, on this hill in front of the church stod the castle gallows for capital punishment. The pilgrims, father and soon, made a pilgrimage to St. Višarje and stopped at the Premrov tavern in Novo, now Spodni trg in Vuzenica, to refresh themselves. Two gendarmes came to the tavern loking for a stolen gold chalice. The thief had discreetly slipped the chalice into the backpack of a young pilgrim, which was under the table where the gendarmes found it. The soon was sentenced to death by hanging and the sentence was carried out immediately. His father left the next morning to take his soon down and bury him. The soon who was hanging from the gallows was still alive and said that he stod on the shoulders of the white lady who saved him from death, because he was innocent. In gratitude, they built the Church of the Virgin Mary on the Stone.
