Description of hut:
Bodenalm is a mountain pasture at 1,231 m in the Gailtal Alps on Austrian Carinthia near Lake Weißensee and west of Fischeralm. The pasture falls under the area of Hermagor, so the full name used is Hermagorer Bodenalm. A hut is located on the pasture and is open during the summer season from May to October.
On the way to the pasture is also Tscherniheim Glashütte, which sheds light on the history of glassmaking in these remote areas from 1621 to 1879.
From the pasture, it is possible to head north towards the mountain Spitzegel and visit two more pastures along the way: Radnigeralm and Zgornja Belška planina (Obervellacheralm).
