Description of mountain:
Bernardo Mountain is a gently sloping and panoramic peak above Lake Hodges. On clear days, it is possible to see all the way to the Pacific. The upper part of the trail is particularly exposed to the sun, so in summer the ascent is recommended only early in the morning or toward evening.
