Zgornji Leskovec - Zveličarjeva kapela (Velika Varnica)

Access to starting point:
We leave Podravska highway at exit for Lancova vas, and then we follow the signs for Videm pri Ptuju and Zgornji Leskovec. When we get to Zgornji Leskovec we park on one of the parking lots in the settlement.

Route description:
From the crossroad by the health station Zgornji Leskovec, we head onto the road in the direction of Podlehnik. We continue for a few minutes on the road towards Podlehnik, and when the settlement Zgornji Leskovec ends, we turn left onto a side road towards Trdobojci. Further on, we cross the stream Lipnica via a bridge, then follow the blazes at several crossroads. A little further, the blazes direct us left from the macadam road onto an ascending cart track, along which we climb through the forest for a few minutes, then pass a few houses to reach another road, which we follow sharply to the right.
We continue through the settlement Trdobojci, passing the third control point of the Videmska mountain path, then proceed for some time without significant changes in altitude; after a right turn, signs for Sveti Avguštin guide us left downhill, where we begin descending on an asphalt road. Lower down, we reach the valley of the stream Ložina, where we turn left, and we also turn left at the nearby crossroad. For a short time, we descend gently alongside the stream, then turn right at a crossroad and begin ascending again. Higher up, we reach a scenic ridge, where we turn right, and shortly after, we arrive at an asphalt road, which in a few steps leads us to the Zveličarjeva chapel in Velika Varnica.
