Zavetišče na planini Šija - Dom na Kofcah

Access to starting point:
From the highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Ljubelj. Further, we drive to the center of Tržič and follow the road through the Dolžanovo gorge to the village Jelendol, where signs for mountain pastures Kofce, Šija and Pungrat point us to the left. The road then loses the asphalt covering and starts to ascend steeply. We follow this road at the crossroads in the direction of the mountain pastures Pungrat and Šija. We park on the parking lot near the cottage on the mountain pasture Šija.

Route description:
From the cottage on the mountain pasture Šija we continue on a wide path in the direction of the mountain hut Dom na Kofcah. The path at the beginning descends and in a few minutes brings us to a cart track which we follow to the right. The cart track, which is slightly descending, then brings us past the mountain pasture Ilovica into the forest. Next follows an easy walk through the forest, which in a few minutes of additional walking brings us to the pastures of the mountain pasture Kofce. Here we go right and in a few minutes we come to the mountain hut Dom na Kofcah, which we already see clearly.
