Waldrast - Seespitz (Koralpe) (via Großer Speikkogel)

Access to starting point:
From Dravograd over the border crossing Vič we drive to St. Andre. We follow the road ahead to the town Wolfsberg, where signs for Koralpe point us to the right. Further, we drive through St. Stefan, Maildorf and Rieding to a large parking lot at the ski center Koralpe.

Route description:
At the end of the parking lot, signs for Koralpenhaus point us to a footpath which ascends along the left edge of the ski slope (while the ski slope is operating, passage is forbidden). A moderately steep path, after a few minutes of ascent, brings us to an unmarked path junction, where we continue along the left gentle track. The path, which then for some time runs along the ski slope, brings us higher to an asphalt road. Here we continue the ascent to the right along the ascending road, which with increasingly beautiful views quickly brings us to the mountain hut.
From Koralpenhaus we continue along the road, which after two sharp turns soon brings us to two radar stations at the top. The path bypasses the radar on the right side, then the road ends. There follow only a few steps of ascent to the cross, which we see on the left side.
From the top, we continue along the path, which starts to descend slightly and after a few minutes brings us to an indistinct saddle, where there is a path junction. We continue left downwards and after a few minutes of diagonal descent, on our right we notice a smaller hill on which we notice a cross. At the most appropriate spot we leave the marked path and via easier pathless terrain in two minutes ascend to the summit of Seespitze.
