Access to starting point:
We leave the Štajerska motorway at the Maribor - center exit, and then we follow the signs for Dogoše and Spodnji Duplek. We further follow the signs for Vurberk, and at the roundabout in Dvorjane we take the exit towards Ptuj. When the road rises higher, we arrive at an intersection near which there is a cemetery on the left and the Culture House Vurberk on the right. We park on the parking lot below the cemetery, or on the parking lot by the culture house.
Route description:
We continue along the parking lot of the Culture House Vurberk and slightly ascend to the nearby intersection, where the road towards the castle turns left, and we continue straight on the marked path, which higher climbs via stairs. Above the stairs we return to the road, and then past the parish church of St. Mary of the Assumption we quickly arrive at the castle Vurberk.
