Access to starting point:
When we arrive in Novo mesto we keep to the direction of Metlika. When we drive on the main road in the direction of Metlika, after 9 km we turn right off the main road in the direction of Vinja vas, through which we drive and at the end of the village on the right side there is a church, where we also park the car.
Route description:
Behind the church, we immediately notice a nice footpath which is steadily ascending above the village Podgrad. We follow the mentioned path to the nearby peak, which we reach after approximately 20 minutes of walking.
This used to be a castle path, which led to the castle.
