Veliko Tinje - Sveti Trije kralji (via Sveti Urh)

Access to starting point:
We drive into the center of Slovenska Bistrica, where at the traffic-light intersection we turn towards the health home and continue along Partizanska cesta. This is followed by driving through the town, where we continue straight; on the periphery of the town, at the industrial zone, we head onto the road towards Tinje, Sveti Trije kralji, and Črno jezero. This is followed by an ascent on a somewhat narrower asphalt road, which begins to climb and first leads past the hunting lodge pizzeria Gams; higher up we also pass through the settlement Visole, and a few kilometers higher we arrive at Zgornje Tinje, where we continue left and then, on the edge of the settlement, park at Dom krajanov and the Tinje fire station.

Route description:
From the starting point, we walk to the church, where the first blazes appear, and we climb the stairs to the church, which we bypass on the left side. Behind the church, we cross the access road and continue along the hedge and then across a meadow return to the asphalt road, along which we ascend to an unmarked intersection. From the intersection, we continue along the right upper road, along which on the right we notice a blaze. A little further on, we arrive at a few more houses, where we go right onto a cart track that ascends transversely above the road. Through the forest at the junctions we follow the blazes; a few minutes higher we leave the forest and continue the ascent along the path that runs along the edge of the forest. Higher up, the path turns right and returns to the forest, through which we ascend to an asphalt road that we reach at a smaller intersection, where we leave the blazes.
We continue across the main road onto the side road in the direction of Urh (left continues the marked path towards Sveti Trije kralji, right leads the road to Zgornje Tinje), along which we ascend transversely through the forest, quickly leaving the forest and walking past individual homesteads of the Urh settlement. Higher up, the path returns to dense forest, and from the right another unmarked path from the settlement Turiška vas na Pohorju joins us.
We continue along the asphalt road, which a little further on makes a left serpentine and after the serpentine brings us to a smaller intersection, where we continue slightly right (slightly left homestead Korant).
This is followed by a short ascent through the forest and we arrive at a flatter section, where on the right side we notice the church of sv. Urh, which is about a minute's walk from the road.
We bypass the church on the left side, and the road quickly brings us to an intersection, from which we continue left in the direction of the Cehej homestead (on maps Cahej) (straight homestead Močnik and the road leading further towards the settlement Šmartno na Pohorju).
A few 10 m further, the road exits the forest, and we go right onto an unmarked cart track that continues through the forest. The path ahead leads us along a mostly gentle cart track that has a few junctions, at which we follow the wider path that mainly leads along the indistinct eastern to southeastern ridge of Repnikov vrh. Higher up, the path levels out completely and brings us to the indistinct highest point of Repnikov vrh.
From Repnikov vrh we begin to descend towards the west to northwest; at the smaller junction we go slightly right. This is followed by a few minutes of descent, and when we step out of the forest we join the marked path, which we follow to the right. After a few steps we also cross part of a meadow, then we begin to ascend along the edge of the forest. Continuing, we cross a strip of forest, and at the hunting observatory we temporarily leave the forest. The path ahead leads us along a gentle cart track that through the forest brings us to Planina pod Šumikom, where we cross the asphalt road leading towards sv. Trije kralji.
We cross the main road and continue along the side road that past the chapel brings us to the Škrinjar homestead, which we bypass on the lower side; before the next Mlakar homestead the blazes direct us right into the forest. This is followed by a somewhat steeper ascent through the forest, where we follow the blazes, and when the path levels out, the marked path past Močnik joins us from the right.
We continue straight, where a few minutes of gentle to moderate ascent follow, and then we already arrive at Hotel Jakec, above which is the church of sv. Treh kraljev.
