Access to starting point:
A) Via the Ljubelj border crossing we drive into Austria, then we follow the road towards Celovec / Klagenfurt. In Celovec at all crossroads we continue straight. When the main road turns distinctly to the right, we leave it a little further on and continue left towards the towns Lendorf and Feldkirchen in Kärnten. When we arrive at the highway junction, we turn left towards the town Feldkirchen in Kärnten. In the mentioned town we follow the signs for the Turracher Höhe pass. We park at the sign which marks the beginning of the settlement Turracher Höhe. B) Through the Karawanks Tunnel we drive into Austria, then we continue on highway A10 towards Spittal an der Drau. We leave highway A10 at exit Ossiacher See, at the nearby roundabout we choose the second exit towards Feldkirchen in Kärnten. Further we drive on the road by lake Ossiacher See. In the settlement Feldkirchen in Kärnten we follow the signs for the Turracher Höhe pass. We park at the sign which marks the beginning of the settlement Turracher Höhe.
Route description:
From the parking lot by the main road, we continue on the macadam road in the direction of Grünsee. The road leads slightly up and down. At the junctions we follow the signs for Grünsee. After 20 minutes we arrive at the north shore of the lake. The road right by the lake leads also to the south part of the lake. The path is easy and well-marked.
