Access to starting point:
We leave the Štajerska highway at the Dramlje exit, then follow the signs for Šentjur. From the center of Šentjur, we continue briefly towards the settlement of Šmarje pri Jelšah, but soon turn right onto the road towards Podsreda and Planina pri Sevnici. When Šentjur ends, we soon turn left from the main road in the direction of Podsreda, Kozje, and Gorica pri Slivnici. When we get to the settlement Gorica pri Slivnici, we go from the roundabout on the exit for Sodna vas and Sveti Štefan. When Gorica pri Slivnici ends, the path leads us along Slivniško Lake, and a little further, we turn right in the direction of Hrastje, Dobrina, and Tourist farm Žurej. On the mentioned road, we drive to the mentioned farm, where we turn left into a parking lot by hiking signposts.
Route description:
From the parking lot, we head on the path toward St. Helena and Slivnica and continue walking on the asphalt road. We soon reach a crossroad, where a marked path branches off to the right towards St. Helena, and we continue straight on the road, which soon leads us to the settlement Hrastje.
When we arrive at the settlement Hrastje, we turn left at the chapel towards the Tower of Love. Next follows an ascent on a narrower asphalt road, where at a few smaller crossroads we keep to the right turn-offs or follow signs for the Tower of Love. Higher up, the asphalt ends, and the path leads past a cross to the quarry, which we bypass on the left, upper side. Above the quarry, the road transitions into the forest and, a little further on, turns left. Next follows a diagonal ascent towards the left, at a former homestead where an old route of the Panoramska pot joins from the left, and the path turns back to the right. Next follows some traversing on a macadam road, and when we reach an asphalt road on the southern side of the mountain, we turn left and then immediately left again onto a footpath towards the Tower of Love and Žusem. The path ahead leads us along a forested cart track, which in a few minutes emerges from the forest, where the path passes by a double hayrack - toplar. Next follows an ascent through a hay meadow, where at the top we reach a beautiful viewpoint with a panorama board displaying marked peaks. Next follows a short, easy descent, after which the path returns to the forest, which we quickly leave. Upon leaving the forest, a beautiful view opens up on the right towards the church of St. Valentin, and the path soon re-enters the forest, through which we continue on a marked trail all the way to the Tower of Love on Žusem.
Description and pictures refer to the condition in November 2023.

Discussion about the trip Turistična kmetija Žurej - Žusem (Panoramska pot)

What is the difference between the old and new Panoramic path? Did the old path perhaps go partly along the steep path over Geršinski hrib and then past the Frlič farm to Užmah? Do they meet at the Lončar farm?

If I understand the above description correctly, the new panoramic path is no longer circular, but goes from Žurej along the asphalt road further down the valley and turns left towards Hrastje at the chapel. At some point above the quarry, the old/abandoned panoramic path trail joins it at the Lončar farm, coming from the direction of Frlič, where crossing is no longer allowed (private land). Then the path continues past Užmah and then over Veliki Špiček to Žusem. So the difference with the old panoramic path is that it previously ran along part of the steep path directly from Žurej (and not down the valley), but before the secured section with via ferrata cables, it turned right below the Žusem summit and joined the new path at Lončar via the road past Frlič, and from there the route remained the same? Can someone confirm?

Your second paragraph seems correct to me, but I haven't been there for a while to 100% confirm the current state. I've also heard that the passage has been prohibited for some time somewhere between Jancic (46.160756, 15.477659) and Lončar (46.154479, 15.471399), which interrupted the old panoramic path route. In terms of experience, you don't lose much, but it's a bit of a shame because shorter variants we often did are gone: when we drove to Jancic, went up one of the difficult ones to the summit, and returned via part of the panoramic back to Jancic. For those starting from Žurej, there might still be the following option for a very nice loop, but I haven't tried it yet: along the original panoramic route to Jancic; from there to Žusem via one of three variants - the first is the Steep path that branches off at Jancic (due to quarry expansion, I don't know if it still exists?). Second variant is to go by road a few minutes to the castle, soon after it a more difficult path with slings/clamps branches uphill. Third variant is straight along the road to the settlement with the church and from there to the summit. From the summit, descend to Žurej via this "new" described panoramic from the description above.
