Tivoli - Cankarjev vrh (Rožnik) (by road)

Access to starting point:
From Celovška cesta in Ljubljana, we drive to a large paid parking lot near Tivoli Park.

Route description:
From the parking lot, we first walk to Tivoli Castle behind which we notice a forest road which starts ascending. Already a few meters behind the castle we come to the first crossroads, where we continue on the lower left road which further moderately ascends (right steep road ends). After a few minutes' walk the road turns sharply right and then flattens a little. Higher, the road crosses a trim trail and then brings us to a crossroads of several roads.

We continue on the leftmost road, which after a shorter ascent starts descending and quickly brings us to the next crossroads at the monument to the fallen in the war for Slovenia. Here we continue straight (right Šišenski hrib) on the road which starts descending. After a short descent, the road again starts ascending and after a few minutes of additional walking brings us to the inn on Rožnik. From the inn we can also walk to the summit of Rožnik (Cankarjev vrh) in the middle of which stands a church.
