Access to starting point:
From Kočevje we drive towards the border crossing Petrina or vice versa. When on the right side (from Kočevje direction) by the road we notice a waterfall, we park on a parking lot by the road which is situated a little before or after the waterfall.
Route description:
From the parking lot, we carefully cross the poorly visible main road and walk to the waterfall, which we can clearly see from the road. At the waterfall we notice the sign for the source of Nežica (izvir Nežice), which directs us to a footpath. The path immediately goes into the forest and then ascends alongside the Nežica stream upwards. During the ascent we can notice two more approximately 10 m high waterfalls, then the path turns somewhat more to the right and moves away from the stream for a short time. Further we come to a wooden bridge over a torrent, after which we approach the Nežica stream again. There follows a short crossing of a steep slope and the path brings us to the source of Nežica.

The bridge on the 7th picture is currently unfortunately in very poor condition. If not renovated, it will soon be impassable. grim look

Walked today, path renovated, new bridges and most exposed sections secured with fence.
