Access to starting point:
From the highway Ljubljana - Maribor, take the Dramlje exit and follow the road ahead in the direction of Šentjur, Rogaška Slatina and Rogatec. In Rogatec, signs for Donačka gora point us to the left. Only a little further, we come to the next crossroad, where we continue right again in the direction of Donačka gora. Further, we drive towards the village Sveti Jurij (do not follow the signs for Donačka gora ahead). In the village Sveti Jurij, we turn left upwards towards the church of St. Jurij by which we park. We can park already a little lower on a parking lot by the road.
Route description:
From the church of St. Jurij we continue on the road upwards. After 100 meters of walking, we come to the crossroad, where we continue left. After a further few dozen steps of walking, we come to a farm, where a marked footpath turns right upward. The path at first ascends through a meadow, then turns right, where it crosses a lane of bushes and then brings us by the cross to the next farm. Here we continue upwards on a marked cart track which over a panoramic slope soon brings us to a crossing.
We continue straight in the direction of the mountain hut Rudijev dom and Sveti Donat. After a few minutes of additional walking the steepness decreases and the path turns left. There follows a shorter crossing of the slopes towards the west to the church of St. Donat.
From the church, we continue in the direction of the mountain hut Rudijev dom on the path which goes into the forest. The path at first crosses the western slopes of Donačka gora, and then it ascends for a short time on a steep and in wet for slipping dangerous slope. Further, the path brings us to a farm behind which we go on the road, where we continue right. The road on which we continue the ascent after a good 5 minutes brings us to the mountain hut Rudijev dom.

In the hut, there are such friendly girls as rarely anywhere else!

I too have experienced the friendliness of the girls at Rudijev dom. In summer I visited them twice while staying at the spa. (On foot from Rogaška to Donačka and back, no doubt about it). Beautiful mountain, beautiful places and nothing but nice and friendly girls.

Today we went along this path to Rudijev dom. Nice path, without special features, well marked. Friendly staff in the hut.
