Access to starting point:
Štore is accessible ideally with the help of railways. On the road... we leave the highway in Celje and practically in the center of Celje we head towards Štore or Šentjur. We park the car near the railway station Štore, where there are enough parking spaces available and also the beginning of the marked mountain path.
Route description:
The start of the path is at the railway station in Štore. Head over Voglajna, where a signpost immediately directs you right and soon straight ahead practically through the area of the old Štore ironworks. Continue on the asphalt road in the lower section along Bojanski jarek to a new path junction, which directs you sharply left on asphalt surface higher up the hill to Žlajfa, where the road finally turns into a forest path that is solidly marked. The ascent is pleasant, alternating between forest sections and meadow-pasture areas. From the left, the mountain path from Štore via Šentjanž or Resevna joins, and after a short continuation through the forest, you reach Almin dom na Svetini.

Discussion about the trip Štore - Almin dom na Svetini (via Žlajfa)

From a time distance of six or seven days when I summarize impressions of the path that somehow connects industrial Štore with its higher hinterland up to Svetina, I can speak of an ideal path. It is visited just enough and also trodden enough to see life in it. The path is there, without erosion. Between photos 8 and 13 perhaps slightly poorer signage, markings somewhat faded but somehow you have to follow the logic of the road. The alternation of forest sections and meadow/pasture sections higher up is really ideal. Especially the comparison with the "sister" path from Zagrad to Celjska koča and further to Almin dom on Svetina stands out, which unlike this one is practically a "tourist-recreational assembly line" and possibly devastated due to mass visitation. Let it remain a somewhat hidden gem but if someone visits it additionally after this report, adds a note or view of the path, it certainly won't hurt...Lp
