Access to starting point:
We drive to Bohinjska Bistrica, then follow the signs for Lake Bohinj. When we arrive at Lake Bohinj in the settlement of Ribčev Laz, we turn right towards Stara Fužina. The path continues past the church of St. John the Baptist, then we soon reach the settlement of Stara Fužina, from where we follow the signs for the Mostnica Gorges and the pastures Blato, Vogar and Voje. Above the settlement of Stara Fužina we reach the beginning of the toll road to the pastures Blato, Vogar and Voje, where we park at the paid parking lot.
Route description:
From the parking lot, we continue along the asphalt road leading towards the Blato pasture, Vogar pasture, and Voje valley. The initially fairly steep road soon levels out and brings us to a signpost indicating a junction.
At the signpost, we leave the asphalt road and continue left towards the Vogar pasture and Pršivec. We then ascend transversely across a scenic meadow, after which the path enters the forest, climbing along a rocky cart track. In a few long serpentines, we ascend to a higher level where the path levels somewhat. A little further on, we notice signs for the NOB monument, located at a beautiful viewpoint and paraglider take-off site, offering a nice view of Lake Bohinj, Rudnica, and the Bohinj-Tolmin mountains, sometimes called the Lower Bohinj Mountains.
From the viewpoint, we return to the marked path, which quickly takes us to the eastern edge of the Spodnji Vogar pasture. The path ahead mostly gently ascends through meadows, and along the way we notice a large number of former shepherd huts, now mostly converted into weekend homes. We follow this gently ascending path to Kosijev dom on Vogar, which we reach after a few more minutes of walking.
From the hut, we can take a 5-minute walk to a nearby viewpoint offering a nice view of Lake Bohinj and the surrounding mountains.

really easy hike, just a bit hot in the forest. Nice view from the take-off point. I also recommend seeing the devil's bridge and the stream with the elephant

The path description is modest. The ascent itself is not demanding but it's definitely worth continuing to the lake at Planina pri jezeru.

It was really a wonderful day. Through the forest it was a bit stuffy, but when you climb to the paraglider take-off point, you get a really nice view over the valley and the lake. After an hour of sunbathing by the hut we returned to the valley due to clouding.

The trail description is sufficient, or good, as it's impossible to get lost. The trip is easy and suitable in all seasons for everyone. In the hut friendly caretakers (homemade, warm). The viewpoint about 200 m ahead of the hut is even a bit nicer than the one at the monument and paraglider takeoff.

I was at Vogar on Saturday, January 22, 2010. The weather was great, the path is well marked, dry (to the hummocky meadows) and easy. The hut has a friendly caretaker, we ate excellent barley soup and homemade bread baked in a wood-fired oven.

Hello! On Saturday there is mass on Planina Vogar. I'm interested whether it's at Kosijev dom or higher up. If it's higher on the planina, how long is the walk from the hut to there? Thanks for the answer.

Today we had a nice outing to Vogar. Path without features. Lots of people. Service ok. Extended the path to the viewpoint with the love bench. Nice view of the lake, Vogel and other Bohinj mountains. Arrived at the car just before the rain. Pictures in the "conditions" section. Nice hiking greetings

The path to Vogar is quite worn from the start to the 3rd bend. With a child, it took us almost 2 hours. When you reach the hut, everything is rewarded by the hospitality of the hut keepers and the view.

People complain about the expensive parking garage under Congress Square, where you pay 4.5 € for 3 hours. Here for soaking in mud 9 €. It says it's such a parking fee for maintenance  Somali pirates charge less.
Otherwise, it's one of the nicer destinations, especially for those who don't have stamina for higher mountains. Suitable for everyone, in winter with snow it's really a fairy tale. We'll come back when we find an alternative for parking. 18 € was too much. For the whole lunch we paid 25.

In Laško as a hotel guest you pay 8.00 € parking per day 
I haven't experienced that anywhere yet, in no hotel.
Milking the cow, bale after bale, and repeating multiple times. Everything is so natural and obvious.

All comfortable options are 0.50 € per hour. Hay sheds are 10 € for the whole day, which you don't need. There are two free parkings, one allows one hour, the other two, even if you run, it won't be enough

Those who blindly send people to buses, trains etc... Not everyone is from Ljubljana or Gorenjska, some of us are quite far away and Slovenian public transport is of no use to us for the mountains.

But it's true, I did it last year. I took the bus in Kranj and got off at the Bohinj-Jezero stop. Then on foot to Vogar.

I too in 1984 rode my moped from Primskovo to the train in Veliki Gaber, then by train to Ljubljana, changed there to the train to Žirovnica and from Žirovnica on foot to Stol. Now that's no longer possible . Unfortunately

Buses etc. are not an option, because I plan to start well before 3 am to Vogar, for sunrise at Triglav Lakes, and then to some peak there

At the Vorančkojca parking lot in St. Fužina the current rate is 0.5 €/hour. Payment time is 6h-20h according to the internet (https://promet.bohinj.si/parkiranje/ ): I don't know what that means if you want to park at e.g. 3 am...
Another starting point is possible if you come on foot from farther away
