Šober - Tojzlov vrh

Access to starting point:
From the road Maribor - Dravograd, from the roundabout in Bresternica we drive in the direction of the exit for Gaj nad Mariborom, and immediately after the intersection we go left again towards Gaj. The road ahead leads us past the Mercator store and then through part of the settlement Bresternica, then we arrive at the chapel, where we go left towards Gaj nad Mariborom. Further on, we drive along the Bresterniški potok stream, from the intersection at Šoberjev dvor we go right onto the road towards Sv. Urban. Further, we drive through Petkova graba, following the road to the spot where, opposite a meadow, a marked path branches off to the right towards Kamnica, and to the left leads a marked path to Tojzlov vrh. We park at a suitable place by the intersection, best on the other side of the bridge, where the road towards Kamnica continues.

Route description:
From the starting point, we head onto the path towards Tojzlov vrh, where we walk across a meadow, behind which we ascend into the forest. Through the forest, we ascend on a cart track, after a few minutes we reach another cart track, which we follow left uphill. Further on, we ascend on a cart track and at the junctions we follow the blazes. Higher up, we leave the forest and ascend to an asphalt road, which we follow to the left.
For a short time, we walk on a panoramic road, from which a nice view opens towards Sv. Urban and the surrounding hills, then the road returns into the forest. A few minutes of moderate ascent follow and we arrive at Planinski dom Kozjak or Planinski dom Obrtnik on Tojzlov vrh.
Before the hut we go right on a cart track, along which there are signs for the peak. After a few steps the path goes into the forest, through which it ascends easily and after a few minutes brings us to the forest-covered peak, where there is a logbook box and a NOB monument.
