Slovenj Gradec - Rahtelov vrh (eastern path)

Access to starting point:
We drive to Slovenj Gradec, where on the parking lot by the river Mislinja, opposite the inn Murko, the described path begins.

Route description:
From the starting point over the bridge we cross the river Mislinja, and then we continue right in the direction of the Forest learning trail Rahtelov vrh. We initially walk on a cycling path towards Dravograd, but soon veer slightly left towards the learning trail (sharply left on the return path of the learning trail). Next follows a diagonal ascent through the forest; after a short steep climb, from a brief panoramic section, we continue left on a cart track, which soon leads us to a ridge where there is a crossing.
We continue right, where the path guides us along the ridge; when the learning trail turns right from the ridge and proceeds without significant changes in altitude, we continue ascending along or beside the ridge. Further on, at a few smaller crossings, we follow the more trodden path; upon leaving the forest, we reach the edge of a panoramic section, from where a beautiful view opens up on Slovenj Gradec and its surroundings. Here, we pass through the yard of a farm and ascend to the inn TC Rahtel.
From the inn, we walk to the route of the former ski slope, initially continuing on a cart track, which quickly begins to fade. We proceed slightly left and ascend along the edge of the forest, reaching the repeater tower on Rahtelov vrh in a few minutes.
