Access to starting point:
From the Ljubljana–Jesenice motorway, take the Lesce exit and follow the road towards Bled and then towards Bohinjska Bistrica. Continue driving towards Lake Bohinj (Ribčev laz), where you reach a junction and continue straight along the left (southern) side of the lake towards Ukanc and the Savica Waterfall. Follow this road to the lower station of the Vogel cable car, then buy a ticket and take the cable car to the upper station, which is the starting point for our tour.
Route description:
From the upper station of the cable car on Vogel we continue right on the road which on the west side bypasses the mountain hut Merjasec. We continue in a gentle descent in the direction of Komna and Vogel, and a wide macadam road brings us to a marked junction. Here we continue left in the direction of the four-seater chairlift Orlove glave (right downwards Komna, Vogel, Žagarjev graben and Ukanc), which the road bypasses on the right side. From the lower station of the four-seater chairlift the path, which continues along a transport-rescue road that runs along the Vogel ski slope, begins to ascend more steeply. We follow the road, along which we also notice some rare blazes and with increasingly beautiful views of the Julian Alps, to the upper station of the previously mentioned four-seater chairlift. Here the path flattens and brings us to a spot where the path to the forepeak of Orlove glave (peak with a cross) branches off to the right, and we continue straight on the transport-rescue road, which on the left side bypasses the main peak of Orlove glave.
Further, the road descends a little and brings us to a poorly marked junction, where we continue on the right road in the direction of Šija and Rodica. Further we ascend briefly along the road, then it ends and brings us to a marked mountain path, on which we continue the ascent. After a few minutes of moderate ascent we arrive at a marked junction, where the path branches off to the right towards Komna, and we continue slightly left on the path which gradually transitions to the ski slope. Here the path starts to ascend more steeply and with increasingly beautiful views quickly brings us to the upper station of the single-seater chairlift Šija.
From the upper station we continue slightly right and in a few steps ascend to the indistinct peak of Visoki Orlov rob.
From here the path temporarily descends a little, then starts to ascend moderately and in a few minutes brings us to a marked junction. From the junction we continue straight in the direction of Šija (left Rodica, right Vogel) and continue the ascent on the steep path, by which in 5 minutes of further walking we reach the panoramic and precipitous peak.

We hiked the trail in summer and continued to Vogel and Komna, descended to the valley and hitchhiked to the car. Very nice scenic trail, not strenuous just need enough liquid.

Path hiked on Friday. The view from the summit is great wherever you turn. The marking at the base is only on the rock, as the picture shows. Maybe a sign on a board wouldn't hurt. Unfortunately, the summit also has no logbook box or stamp.
