Access to starting point:
From the highway Ljubljana - Koper we go to the Unec exit and follow the road ahead in the direction of Cerknica. At the beginning of Cerknica we turn left in the direction of Begunje pri Cerknici. Further, we drive to the crossroad in Begunje, where we turn right towards the village Selšček. We follow this road to the village Selšček, where we park near the church on a smaller parking lot by the main road. Don't park on the yard.
Route description:
From the main road, we climb in a few steps to the church of the Holy Cross, where nearby we notice the signposts. Further, we continue on a cart track which first crosses a shorter strip of forest and then gently ascends through a meadow. On the other side of the meadow, the path goes into the forest and brings us to a junction, where we continue on the right cart track (left brings us to Begunje). Here at the junction there is also a notification sign that we are entering the bear area. The moderately steep path, which runs through the forest, soon joins the first path from Begunje. After that, the path becomes gentler and crosses some smaller clearings, after which another path from Begunje joins from the left. Here we continue right on a nice footpath which in a gentle ascent along the upper slope in a few minutes brings us to the summit.

Today I was on this summit for the first time, started from Begunje. Wonderful circular hike. Those clearings before the summit are very enchanting. Highly recommended, because it's a beautiful, remote world, especially as it's an easy, leisurely tour.

I only discovered the beautiful world of Menišija last winter, even though I'm only about an hour's drive from home. Really friendly peak, nicer to me than Slivnica, only bears, they say there are quite a few here

We planned the hike as a circular one. Started in Begnah and stopped on the return at Žnidarjeva farm in Kožljek, then returned to the cars in Begne. The rain came drizzling just right and nothing bothered us. It may sound strange, but that gentle drizzle suited me like a refreshment. We weren't in a hurry anywhere and walked the trail leisurely.

Bejgne yes . The main thing is that you had a good time and explored a bit of our area. Welcome again regards
