Access to starting point:
A little before Spittal from the direction of Beljak/Villach (on the old road), the road towards the village Ziebel branches off to the left. In the mentioned village, we notice signs for the alpine road Goldeck Alpenstraße. We follow the mentioned road to a large parking lot at an altitude of 1885 meters, the price of the road is 12€.
Route description:
At the beginning of the parking lot, a road branches off to the right upwards in the direction of the summit Goldeck. We head onto this road, which is closed to traffic (a gate) and moderately ascends an unvegetated slope of the mountain. From the road, which moderately ascends and makes some turns, in the middle of one of them a footpath branches off to the right towards the mountain hut Goldeckhütte. We continue straight (possible circular path) on the road, which then quickly brings us to the upper slope of the mountain, where there is the next junction. We continue right, past the transmitter we ascend to a panoramic peak.
