Schloss Kapfenstein - Schloss Kapelle (via Kapfensteiner Kogel)

Access to starting point:
Through the border crossing Sotina we drive to Austria, where immediately after the border we continue left towards the settlement Strgarjevo / Kalch. After the mentioned settlement we arrive from the Austrian federal state Burgenland to Steiermark, and after the settlement Neustift we turn right at the intersection in the direction of the settlement Kapfenstein. In the mentioned settlement we go right in the direction towards the castle Schloss Kapfenstein and also at the next crossroads we follow the signs for the mentioned castle. We park to the right of the castle on the parking lot by the edge of the forest.

Route description:
From the end of the parking lot, we continue right towards the northeast, where we cross the fence, and after the fence we soon go left on a footpath which ascends through the vineyard. Higher the vineyard ends and in a few steps we reach the peak of Kapfensteiner Kogel, from which some views open up.
From the top, we continue straight and descend a little, and from the right a cart track joins us, which we left a little after the fence.
Here we also continue straight, and we walk to the nearby chapel, from which a nice view also opens up towards the castle Riegersburg.
