Access to starting point:
Through the border crossing Sotina we drive to Austria, where immediately after the border we continue left towards the settlement Strgarjevo / Kalch. After the mentioned settlement we arrive from the Austrian state Burgenland to Steiermark, and after the settlement Neustift we go from the crossroad right in the direction of the settlement Kapfenstein. In the mentioned settlement we go right in the direction towards the castle Schloss Kapfenstein and also at the next crossroads we follow the signs for the mentioned castle. We park right of the castle on a parking lot by the edge of the forest.
Route description:
From the end of the parking lot, we continue towards the northwest, where we walk on a gentle cart track which leads through the forest. In the forest, the path splits, and we continue right over the fence (straight - Schloss Kapelle), where we follow the footpath. A little further, we continue sharply right (straight - Schloss Kapelle) and we quickly ascend to the summit Kapfensteiner Kogel.
