Access to starting point:
From Nova Gorica, we drive towards Tolmin or vice versa, follow the road to Ročinj, where we park at the appropriate place.
Route description:
The beginning and end of the path is at the church of St. Andrej in the center of the village, where a signpost shows two directions: western and eastern. For the path upwards, the western one is recommended, because it is steeper. Further, the path leads past the spring Zdenc, and then we ascend along the old path to Kambreško to Preval (339 m). If we have enough time, we can also visit the church of St. Pavel, from where there is a nice view on the village Avški kot, then we descend to Preval, where we cross the road Ročinj - Kambreško and soon come to an old path, which led to Srednje. We continue upwards along it to the point where we leave it and ascend to the right upwards to the summit Čičer. Here await us the summit logbook and a stamp, a little below the summit also a bench with a view on Soča, Kanal and further through the valley, in clear weather to the sea.
We return further along the ridge, then turn right downwards towards Ročinj. A little above the village we come to a viewpoint on Ročinj (first written mention of the place dates to the year 1083), from here it is still five minutes to the starting point.
The circular path to Čičer has one more additional dimension, namely horticultural, as there are 34 signs along the path with the names of trees in Slovenian and Latin.

Along the route: Cerkev svetega Pavla (403m)

Is passage possible - continuation of the path from Čičer to Globočak?

Yes, possible. From the summit continue along the ridge towards Globočak, when you reach the forest road go left on it and cross the slope of Globočak and at the saddle between Platna peak and Globočak you reach the marked path from Kambreško and there go right and after a short steep ascent reach the summit.

Thanks for the reply. I assume from Čičer to Globočak it's maybe another 45 minutes?

Was on Čičer and Globočak. Soon at start, entering forest on west path, branch to church Sv. Pavla - no need to go first to Preval and climb to church, later descend to Preval and continue steep path to top. Path really very steep, extremely unpleasant when wet! Passage to Globočak easy. Recommend descent to village Srednje then road to Kambreško, stop at Lukčeva hiša, also view waterfall and descent to Preval then approach path to car.

This time the hike was well attended after two years of break. A day perfectly suited for easy walking on paths where spring is already felt. All praise to the organizers for the nicely guided hike and of course the good jota we got at the end of the tour at the house of Valentin Stanič in Ročinj. The women from Levpa are good cooks. Ninety-nine hikers gathered. Also a few from the Italian side.

I think it's up to your ass if you sit down of course ; that's how it looks from afar. The webcam on Korada shows it all even more accurately.

I went along the eastern path. It is quite poorly marked, especially at the beginning. Occasionally very old markings can be seen. There is quite a bit of blackberry bushes and fallen trees on the path.
