Cesta proti Medvedjeku - Goteniški Snežnik

Access to starting point:
From Ljubljana towards Ribnica, then Gotenica, Kočevska Reka, Borovec towards Strma Reber. About a kilometer before the peak of Strma Reber, there is a section to the right towards Loški potok and Medvedjek (macadam road), which we follow for another 3.6 km, when on the right we notice blazes towards Goteniški Snežnik. At the same spot, the Kočevska mountain trail also runs towards Kočevska Reka.

Route description:
If we drive from the direction of Strma Reber, a signpost is visible on the right side; we follow the blazes, which are clearly visible throughout. In the middle of the path, we join a cart track, follow the arrows to the right, then about 200 meters ahead, we leave the cart track and follow the blazes straight upward (while the cart track continues to the right). The path ahead initially goes to the right toward the ridge, where it then turns left toward the north. Just below the summit, the path becomes steeper, in places dangerous for slipping if it is icy. We reach the peak at a fast pace in half an hour.
