Cesta na Bjelsko - Stožac

Access to starting point:
We leave the A1 highway at the Ogulin exit. Through Ogulin we continue toward the settlement Vrbovsko, and at the end of the town, by the NK Dobra football field, we reach a crossroad where we continue toward Jasenak. We continue over the bridge above the river Dobra and drive for approximately 7 kilometers on the winding road to the saddle between Stožac and Soviljica. We park by the road on the left side, where there are also hiking signposts.

Route description:
From the starting point, we continue on a cart track which slightly descends to a meadow. From there, we steeply ascend for 10 more minutes on the cart track. Then we arrive at the stairs. We continue along them past a bench and swings. Soon after, the stairs end, and in 3 minutes of ascent through a small valley, we reach the cottage Stožac, where a view opens up on Klek. We continue further on the path, and in the small valley, we veer left onto pathless terrain, reaching the non-scenic, forest-covered Stožac in 2 minutes.
