Access to starting point:
A) We drive to Ravne na Koroškem, and then from the roundabout in the middle of the town, we continue in the direction of Kotlje and Slovenj Gradec. Further, we drive through the settlement Pratnekar, and at the beginning of Kotlje, where a road branches off to the left towards Slovenj Gradec, we continue straight, at the end of the settlement Kotlje we go right towards Ivarčko lake, and then some 10 meters further, after crossing the stream Hotuljka, left to the parking lot by the decaying hotel Rimski Vrelec.
B) We drive to Slovenj Gradec, and then we continue driving towards Stari trg and further to Kotlje and Ravne na Koroškem. When we get to Kotlje, from the crossroad with the priority road we continue left (right to Ravne na Koroškem), and then at the end of the settlement Kotlje we continue right towards Ivarčko lake. Some 10 meters further, after crossing the stream Hotuljka, we go left to the parking lot by Rimski Vrelec, where we park.
Route description:
From the parking lot, we walk to the decaying hotel Rimski Vrelec and bypass it on the right side, where the path leads us past the NOB monument, then along the macadam road we walk to the ski slope Rimski Vrelec - Kotlje, which we bypass on the lower left side. A little further, at the pole of the high-voltage power line, we continue left over the bridge, and when a few steps further we reach the asphalt road, we follow it to the right.
Further, we walk along the asphalt road, which leads us past the branch-off to the path to Pekel Cave, past the company Šumah avto, and past the birth house of Prežihov Voranc, which is on the right side of the road. A little further from the birth house of the famous Slovenian writer, the asphalt ends, and from the junction we continue straight in the direction of the postman's hut Poštarska koča. The macadam road then turns left, and newer hiking signposts direct us right onto a cart track, along and beside which we continue first through the forest, higher across a panoramic grassy slope. On the grassy section the cart track turns left and returns to the forest, through which it ascends transversely. Higher, the path levels out and takes us from the forest onto meadows, from which a beautiful view opens up reaching as far as Golica / Koralpe. Enjoying the fine views we reach the Zagršnik farm, where we continue left, and in a gentle descent we reach the junction at the Šuler homestead, where we go right in the direction of Poštarski dom. This is followed by an ascent to the ecological farm Ravnjak, where in addition to the culinary offerings they also have 4 apartments, a sauna, a children's playground...
Above the farm, the road, which becomes macadam again, enters a belt of forest, where a marked path from Slovenj Gradec also joins us from the left, and only a minute of easy walking separates us from the Poštarski dom pod Plešivcem.
Description and pictures refer to the condition in 2019 (February).

Discussion about the trip Rimski Vrelec - Poštarski dom pod Plešivcem

Nice trip today. Fairytale landscape. Radenska on tap. The houses in pictures 1 and 2 unfortunately no longer exist. On picture 26 there is now an additional sign to the right Rimski Vrelec 55 min, the path is macadam, no markers. Because at Zageršnik you have to cross 2 fences (electrified) and through their yard, I chose this circular variant for the return, the last part I finished in Vorančevo Peklo and on pathless terrain. That was interesting too.
