Access to starting point:
We leave the Gorenjska motorway at the Hrušica exit and follow the road ahead in the direction of Kranjska Gora, but only to the village of Dovje at Mojstrana. Here we turn right (direction Dovje) and the road quickly brings us to the mentioned village from where we continue in the direction of Dovška Baba. The road soon after the village brings us to a junction, where we continue on the right road (sharp left Kepa and Borovje). Further, we drive for quite some time to the next junction, where we turn sharply left in the direction of Dovška Baba (straight Plavški Rovt). We follow this road, which then leads past grassy meadows named Ravne (a few holiday cottages), to a barrier that prohibits further driving. We can park already a little lower on one of the parking areas by the road (from Dovje to the starting point is approximately 6.5 km).
Route description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the road by which we have parked. The road, which ascends moderately and leads us past a barrier, flattens higher up and brings us to a smaller saddle between Bela peč on the left and Dovška Baba on the right. The road here turns right and after a few additional steps brings us to the spot where a marked footpath branches off to the left upwards.
We head onto this path, which ascends steeply and through the forest and past the spring Starka (1 minute of walking from the path) brings us below the mountain pasture Dovška Rožca. Here the path turns slightly to the left and after another few 10 steps brings us to the cottage on the mountain pasture Dovška Rožca (to here also possible by road).
From the cottage, we continue towards the north in the direction of Dovška Baba (left Kepa) on a path which starts to ascend moderately on the grassy slope of the mountain. The increasingly panoramic path then brings us higher to the ridge, where it turns right and then ascends more steeply. The relatively easy path then quickly brings us to the panoramic peak.
From Dovška Baba we continue right towards the west on an unmarked path which leads us along an initially slightly exposed ridge. The path then descends and soon brings us to the saddle between Dovška Baba and Hruški vrh. We continue along the ridge and soon join a marked path which bypasses the peak of Dovška Baba.
We continue on the marked path further towards the east, but only for a short time. When the marked path turns right, we stay on the ridge and continue the ascent on an unmarked path, which in a few minutes of further walking brings us to Hruški vrh.
Starting point - Dovška Baba 1:45, Dovška Baba - Hruški vrh 40 minutes.

Discussion about the trip Ravne - Rosenkogel/Hruški vrh (via Dovška Baba)

Nice path where you can observe flowers and the Julian Alps. And the bench at the top comes in very handy if the grass is wet. I once lay in the grass at the top for about three hours. It was really pleasant! PLP

it's interesting that the border signs are damaged almost everywhere. I don't know, maybe the cows are that aggressive?

I don't know how we imagine that there are no more borders. They were, are and will be, even without signs.
