Access to starting point:
From the highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we take the exit Ljubljana - Šmartno and follow the road to the mentioned settlement, where we turn right onto the road which leads towards Vodice. We continue driving towards Vodice, but at the first intersection after the overpass over the highway we turn right, where after 100 meters of driving we arrive at the fish farm Povodje. At the starting point there are no arranged parking spots, but we can find a suitable place nearby.
Route description:
At the fish farm we notice signs for Vrh Staneta Kosca, which direct us left onto an asphalt road, along which we walk to the houses there. Further, over the bridge we cross a stream and then continue on the road which is closed to public traffic by a traffic sign. We continue along the road for approximately 100 m, then the blazes direct us right onto a cart track which starts to ascend gently. When we enter the forest, the blazes from the cart track direct us right onto a footpath which ascends transversely through the forest. A little higher, the path turns left and starts to ascend more steeply. Since the path ahead has quite a few minor junctions, we carefully follow the blazes so as not to stray from the right path. Higher up, the path brings us below the steep slopes of Mali vrh, which we bypass on the right side. After a few minutes of further walking, the path levels out and brings us to a macadam road. We walk along the road for only about 20 m, then continue right onto a cart track from which an unofficially marked footpath branches off to the left immediately, leading to Veliki vrh.
Further, we ascend along an occasionally somewhat less visible little path, beside which there are arrows drawn with spray on the trees. Soon the path ascends steeply and brings us to a ridge covered with forest. Higher up the path levels out completely for a while, then past Markonovo brezno it brings us to Veliki vrh in a few minutes.

Discussion about the trip Povodje - Veliki vrh (Rašica)

After the glaze ice two years ago, a huge number of trees were felled on this trail, so the unofficial appearance of the trail from the road to Veliki vrh is completely different from the photos - especially a lot of one-meter-high undergrowth.
The trodden path can still be found, but greater attention is needed.
