Poljana (Završnica) - Potoška planina (by road)

Access to starting point:
From the highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we take the exit Lesce and follow the road ahead in the direction of Žirovnica and Jesenice. After a few km of driving, we will get to an intersection, where the road to Žirovnica and Moste branches off to the right (from the direction of Jesenice left). Only a few meters ahead in the next intersection, we turn left to Moste (right Žirovnica). Further, we drive past a monument to fallen fighters, where the road starts ascending the hill under the railway track. At the top of the hill we turn right (at the sign Vila Karin), but we continue straight towards Završniško jezero and Valvasorjev dom. The road then flattens and brings us to an intersection, where the road to Valvasorjev dom branches off to the left. Here we continue straight towards Završnica and then after 100 m park on the well-maintained asphalt parking lot.

Route description:
From the parking lot, we head to the left road following the signs for Potoška planina. The road, which at first runs across a meadow, soon enters the forest. The road moderately ascends and leads us across some intersections. Everywhere we head in the direction of Potoška planina (intersections are well marked). When the road to Valvasorjev dom branches off to the right, our (left) road starts to descend slightly, but only for a short time. The road, which continues mostly through the forest, then has some more intersections. We still follow it in the direction indicated by the signs for Potoška planina. When we reach the mountain pasture, we head to the path that descends across the meadow to the hut.
