Access to starting point:
First, we drive to the center of Bovec, where we head up the road, which goes past the church ahead towards Kaninska vas. We follow the road ahead and it soon brings us to a junction, where we continue left downhill towards the village Plužna (straight road to Kanin). The road then brings us to the village Plužna, where in the middle of the village we turn sharply right upwards. The road then brings us to the last house in the village behind which the road starts descending and after 100m of descent brings us to the signposts, where near them we park on a small parking lot.
Route description:
From the starting point, we first walk to a junction, where we continue left in the direction of waterfall Virje (straight source of Glijun and cave Srnica). A wide path, which further gently descends, brings us after a few minutes of walking to the next junction, where we continue right steeply downwards. We then follow this quite steep path to the waterfall Virje, which we reach after a few minutes of additional walking.

The water temperature is great, and on top of that, you can go on a natural slide!!

In May we visited Slap Virje, which is really wonderful. Before that we also stopped at the source of the Gljun stream. We started and ended the trail at the lower station of the Kanin cable car. The entire trail is well marked and suitable for everyone, only appropriate footwear and good will are needed.
